This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced program management professional to join a growing legal compliance team. The team is looking for an experienced and practical program manager to support programs focused on global trade. The success candidate will have program management expertise and experience managing complex global issues. You will report to the Senior Director of Global Trade – Legal and Compliance.

Working closely with team members across the Global Trade organization, as well as other compliance and business functions, you will work closely to implement and enhance programs involving trade-compliance developments, business process mapping, records management, policy and procedure development, technology enhancements, executive reporting, training and communications. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, commitment to a culture of collaboration, problem solving and risk mitigation excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Define, scope, and document requirements through detailed project plans to lead/support key compliance and trade-focused initiatives.
  • Help to develop KPIs to measure program success and maintain dashboards that demonstrate program maturity and key results.
  • Oversee documentation organization and recordkeeping program, including drafting, maintaining, and organizing various policies, procedures, process maps, and work instructions across various trade compliance functions.
  • Centralize and maintain systematized repositories to help improve visibility, increase accountability, and enable enhanced decision-making and governance.
  • Clearly identify critical milestones, map timelines, spot risks, negotiate resources and assign ownership to drive timely progress of key projects.
  • Study and use data to identify process gaps and recommend improvements that will increase efficiency and reduce compliance risk.
  • Provide communication support including communicating program updates, management of escalations on key projects, as well as regulatory updates through internal communication channels to include stakeholders, business functional groups and Trade team members.
  • Manage operational budgets and related workflows and reports.
  • Manage quarterly and executive updates and reports, including executive level communications, key stakeholder briefings and updates for key business leadership teams.
  • Effectively works with other staff to maximize productivity for the project / program.

Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant program management experience in trade or related compliance areas, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Experience and knowledge of global trade compliance regulations including, but not limited to, the U.S. export controls, economic sanctions, and import regulations.
  • Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced, global environment and simultaneously partner, influence, and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships with Applied leaders and colleagues across the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, flexible, impeccable integrity, and good judgment.
  • Strong presentation, data visualization and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to synthesize information and complex ideas into clear and concise communication.
  • Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships with Applied leaders and colleagues across the organization.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, global environment and ability to manage and prioritize a diverse and complex workload.
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary project teams or global initiatives that demonstrate mastery of program management methodologies.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and ability to work independently and in teams.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior experience within a Legal team, including managing programs related to global trade compliance and legal issues preferred.
  • Project management certifications and/or experience including Lead, Six Sigma or similar methodologies is a plus.
  • Technology based industry background preferred.
  • Additional language skills a plus.

U.S. Salary Range:

$108,000.00 - $148,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
