Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney Location: Lakewood, CO Direct Hire

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join our litigation practice group. This role involves managing a variety of litigation matters—primarily in district court—related to insurance defense, real estate, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, FHAA complaints, covenant enforcement, judicial foreclosures, and more. The ideal candidate brings strong trial experience, outstanding judgment, and an ability to effectively manage caseloads from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage litigation cases through all phases: evaluation, intake, discovery, settlement, trial, and appeal.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status and legal strategy.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and attend court proceedings as necessary.
  • Support and engage in the firm’s business development initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent, on-time attendance and reliability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • License: Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado.
  • Experience: 7–10 years of district court trial experience and/or background in insurance defense.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound legal judgment.
  • High emotional intelligence with poise, tact, and diplomacy in sensitive interactions.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with legal software tools such as Practice Master (preferred).
  • Experience using document management platforms like NetDocuments (preferred).
  • A portable book of business is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Work Environment & ADA Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Must be able to focus on a computer screen for prolonged durations
