BigLaw Is Implementing COVID Appreciation Bonuses after Clifford Chance and Herbert Smith Freehills announced a 5% bonus for all staff earlier in the month. Linklaters followed suit, and Addleshaw Goddard is offering £1,500 (or equivalent) to all staff. More here

Litera, a provider of legal workflow and workspace technology, acquired one of its competitors, DocsCorp, a global software company with a range of products related to document productivity. More here.

Leeway Secures $4.2M in Seed Round - The Paris-based CLM company has plans to use the money to recruit 20 people this year. More here

Rhode Island has followed California’s lead in lowering the bar exam cut score to make the test easier to pass, a step that several other states are also considering. More here.

Tony West, Uber Tech Inc.'s CLO and corporate secretary (and BIL to VP Kamala Harris), made nearly $12.3M in total compensation in 2020 - just higher than the CEO - according to a Law.com report. [Sign up required] 

Supreme Court sides with Facebook over Auto-phone Dialing System dispute - the court ruled the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 did not apply to FB's targeted texts notifying users of attempted use of their accounts from an unrecognized browser. More here
