Young Lawyers on the Move - A survey of 3,000 lawyers shows that 54% of attorneys under 40 were likely to move to a new workplace in the next 5 years. 33% wanted to switch to a different area of law and 20% were thinking about leaving the profession entirely. More here.

Big Law Referral Bonuses - Willkie Farr & Gallagher, a top 50 Am Law firm, is paying $75,000 referral bonuses to associates who help the firm make qualified hires. More here.

The Size of Legal Operations Teams shows a decrease since 2020 according to Extero's CLO Survey, with the current average number of legal operations professionals in legal departments being 4.3 compared to 5.9 in 2020. The overall trend since 2017 remains positive. More here.

Google Font Usage Breaches GDPR - The Bavarian state court in Munich decided that using Google Fonts in your site breaches GDPR. More here

BigHand Acquires Iridium Tech - The legal tech workflow and productivity software company announced its acquisition of Iridium Technology. The terms have not disclosed. More here

A Slower Path to Partnership -  The number of years it takes for entry-level associates to become partner at a major law firm reached 3,185 days on average last year, an increase of 136% from 2012. More here.
