100 Largest Law Firms in NYC 2021 - The New York Law Journal recently released its' NYLJ 100 ranking of the largest law firms from 2021. Topping the list are Paul Weiss, Kirkland & Ellis, and Davis Polk. See the ranking here.

Oregon Allows Licensed Paralegals Legal Range - The Oregon Supreme Court has given final approval to a program that allows licensed paralegals to provide limited legal services in family, and landlord-tenant law cases. More here.  

'Great Resignation' Stats for Attorneys - The so-called 'Great Resignation' resulted in a mass exodus of attorneys. But where did they go? A survey done be Bloomberg Law's State of Practice showed 52% of respondents went to a larger firm, while 44% went in-house. More here

Claimed Bitcoin Inventor Wins Legal Battle and $56B - The controversial self-proclaimed "Bitcoin inventor" Craig Steven Wright has won a Florida case with the court awarding him 1.1M bitcoins. More here.  

Driverless Cars Are Legal in China - The government in Shenzhen (China's tech hub) has introduced a set of regulations bringing driverless cars one step closer to street legal. More here

In-House Legal Pay Bounces 15% From Start of Pandemic - In-house legal leaders in the U.S. earn $578,446 this year - up 15% from 2020 according to a legal search firm survey. More here

Pay Transparency in New York State - After Colorado and NYC passed pay transparency laws requiring private employers in the jurisdiction to publish salary and wage ranges in all job postings, the state of New York has followed suit. More here
