Law Firms Facing Worst Financial Conditions in Years - Thomson Reuters is reporting a bleaker outlook for firms, with law firm expenses increasing, decreasing profits and shrinking demand. More here

The FTC initiated proceedings towards new privacy regulations, outlining a plan to create nationwide data privacy regulations and investigate 'unfair and deceptive' data practices. More here.

California admitted its most diverse cohort on record last year, with women and non-white attorneys comprising 53% and 51% of the class respectively, according to figures from the State Bar. More here.

Musks' Twitter Countersuit - Musk alleges the company is trying to 'distract' from what he called its many 'misrepresentations'. Twitter has pushed back at Musks' story saying it's 'implausible and contrary to fact'. More here

NY Becomes First State to Require Cybersecurity CLE - Lawyers licensed in New York will have to take at least a 1-hour cybersecurity course as part of their continuing legal education requirements beginning in July 2023. More here
