AI Platforms get increased regulatory scrutiny, 
with the US Copyright Office planning to focus on addressing legal gray areas that surround copyright protections and artificial intelligence over the next year, amid increasing concerns that IP policy is lagging behind the tech. More here. 

Wolters Kluwer announced it acquired AI Startup 
Della earlier today. Della allows legal professionals to review contracts in multiple languages by simply asking questions. Della will become part of the Legal Software unit of Wolters Kluwer. More here.

Fewer JD Students and More Non-JD Programs
 - the ABA released data showing enrollment in JD programs for Fall 2022 were 116,723 (down 0.66% from 117,501 in 2021). In non-JD enrollment, 24,134 students were enrolled this year (up 14.68% from 21,044 in 2021).

Salary Transparency Laws 
- This year saw Colorado and NYC roll out transparency laws. Next year, California, Washington, and Rhode Island will join the ranks. In a related report, men and women asked for raises this year at about the same rate, while men were more likely to receive them. More here and here

Biden Signs Prison Camera Reform Act - the act requires the Federal Bureau of Prisons to revamp the outdated security systems at its 122 facilities. More here

Twitter Legal Staff Dwindles - The ~200 people legal department is 'mostly gone' following Elon Musk's takeover nearly two months ago. Musk also replaced two law firms and reportedly removed the personal lawyer he installed as the interim legal chief. More here

Taylor Swift Fans File Second Lawsuit - Ticketmaster saw its second federal lawsuit filed this month claiming the company 'intentionally and purposefully misled millions of fans into believing it would prevent bots and scalpers from participating in the presale' for her upcoming Eras tour. More here.
