With an illustrious legal career spanning various high-profile roles, Jamal Haughton is set to take on the mantle of Chief Legal Officer, contributing to Charter's strategic growth and future direction.
Before joining Charter Communications, Jamal Haughton served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp (MSGE), where he oversaw all legal functions, including transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters. Prior to MSGE, he held the position of Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Samsung Electronics America, Inc., serving as the Chief Legal Officer for the U.S. from 2016 to 2021. Haughton also spent a decade at Cablevision Systems Corporation, where he provided legal counsel on corporate governance, public company reporting, and strategic transactions. He began his legal career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, with a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
