Jasmine Singh Joins Ironclad as General Counsel

Jasmine Singh, a veteran legal executive with experience at Pinterest, Patreon, and Binti, has been named General Counsel at Ironclad, a leading CLM platform.

Key points:

  • Jasmine Singh, formerly at Pinterest, Patreon, and Binti, is now Ironclad's General Counsel.
  • Ironclad leverages AI to power its contract lifecycle management platform.
  • Singh emphasizes data-driven insights to showcase legal’s value in-house.

Jasmine Singh has been appointed General Counsel of Ironclad, a leading provider of contract lifecycle management (CLM) solutions. Singh, known for her commitment to leveraging data and technology to drive strategic value, steps into the role following a career that includes senior positions at Pinterest, Patreon, and Binti.

Singh’s journey to this leadership role has been unconventional. Burned out by the demands of Big Law after six years as a litigator at firms like Arnold & Porter and Kirkland & Ellis, she transitioned briefly to a career as a fitness instructor before finding her place in-house at 24 Hour Fitness. This shift allowed her to reimagine the legal profession and its potential for business impact.

At Ironclad, Singh’s mission is clear: help legal teams move beyond being viewed as cost centers. She plans to expand the department's role as a strategic partner by using data to demonstrate legal’s contribution to the company’s bottom line. “Smart in-house counsel will use data to their advantage,” Singh said in an interview with Bloomberg Law, emphasizing the importance of speaking the language of numbers to resonate with business leaders.

Ironclad, valued at $3.2 billion after its most recent funding round, has rapidly gained traction for its innovative approach to contract management. Its latest product, the AI-powered assistant Ironclad Jurist, promises to revolutionize legal workflows by automating tasks like drafting and reviewing documents. Singh, who has implemented multiple CLM systems during her career, including Ironclad’s, expressed confidence in the platform’s ability to transform legal operations.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Singh has made significant contributions to diversity and mentorship within the legal field. She founded mentorship programs at Pinterest and 24 Hour Fitness and serves on the boards of organizations like Public Advocates and ChangeLawyers. In 2024, she was recognized as one of Corporate Counsel’s Women, Influence & Power in Law Award honorees.

As Ironclad continues to expand its offerings and customer base, Singh’s blend of legal expertise, business acumen, and a commitment to innovation positions her as a pivotal leader. For more insights into Ironclad’s mission and recent advancements, visit their official website.
