Description
Legal.io is working with a large fintech company to hire a temporary litigation paralegal for a 3 month assignment.
This is a 3- month contract position, 40hs/week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Track, research, and respond to customer complaints escalated to our legal department
- Assist in drafting and preparing responses to requests for information from various government agencies, and in response to litigation demands
- Review and process mail, including service of process
- Maintain case files and our litigation calendar, including monitoring case dockets, case tracking documents, and other administrative tasks
- Conduct legal research
- Assist with eDiscovery, including creating litigation holds and collecting emails, documents, and other data
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s document retention policy
Required Qualifications:
- 4 - 8 years of experience in a paralegal role
- In-house experience
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow through
- Proficiency in Slack, GSuite, Jira
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced, tech environment
Role Details:
- Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: 40 hours per week for 8 weeks
- Pay Rate: $40 - $50 per hour
- Location: REMOTE - Company is based in SF-Bay Area, CA
