Summary

Position Details:

Kompass Kapital Management is looking for a talented Associate Counsel who can work collaboratively to provide legal services and support to the organization and its affiliates in a wide array of areas including contracts, labor and employment, compliance, entity formation and governance, intellectual property and international business.

Reporting Relationships

The Associate Counsel reports to the Chief Legal Counsel.

Example Of Duties

• Assist in the development of company legal strategy to promote and protect the organization’s business interests.
• Oversee the delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish organizational goals, strategies, and priorities.
• Providing pragmatic, focused legal counsel on transactional matters, interpretation of contracts, applicable laws, rules, and policies.
• Researching and analyzing complex legal issues relating to labor and employment laws.
• Advise executive, senior management and operating business managers on various matters such as legal rights, and new and existing laws.
• Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs and provide continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of comparable law firm and/or in-house experience.
• Background in corporate law (contract law, transactional law, employment and labor law).
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• A strong sense of confidentiality and integrity.
