To support our growth and commitment to hiring exceptional performers, we are looking for a/an Commercial Counsel - Channel & Strategic Alliances, a remote US Based position. 

To support our growth and commitment to hiring exceptional performers, we are looking for a Commercial Counsel focused on Channel and Strategic Alliances.  As a member of this team, you will support the Global Channel and Alliances teams, including drafting and negotiating a variety of partners facing contracts and related matters.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Drive technology transactions, which will include negotiation with channel partners, alliance partners and customers, including partner program, data processing and professional services agreements, assignments, amendments, and add on transactions
  • Partner with our Go-To-Market team, Global Channel and Marketplace teams, as well as our privacy, security, finance and product teams, to drive partner deals to execution and design and support scalable processes for implementation
  • Provide pragmatic, business-minded, and creative guidance on contract-related issues. 
  • Help build and improve contract templates and negotiation playbooks and provide internal training to services sales, services operations, contract operations, and the broader GTM legal team on how we can create a streamlined contract experience
  • Provide guidance and training to educate and enable our channel and strategic alliance teams on legal issues.
  • Engage and manage external legal counsel, where needed
  • Be a trusted business partner, responding in a timely and productive manner to requests from internal customers
Skills & Experience:
  • Bar credentials
  • Trainee experience of at least 1-2 years in-house in a technology company, involving drafting and negotiating channel and partner agreements. International experience also a plus.
  • Desire to find non-confrontational, win-win negotiations
  • Desire for close collaboration with the channel and alliances teams and other internal stakeholders to enable partners to be onboarded efficiently, with a practical, risk-based approach
  • Self-starter able to work in a very fast paced, changing environment with ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities 
  • Good communication skills and an ability to engage effectively 
  • Ability and confidence necessary to work independently and across multiple functions 
  • Proficient drafting skills, with keen attention to detail and pride in a quality work product
