JOB DESCRIPTION

The Legal Operations Manager will report directly to the Chief Legal and Policy Officer of FOX Corporation (“CLPO”) and assist the CLPO in managing the Legal and Policy organization and performing other duties assigned by the CLPO and the General Counsel.   

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the day-to-day management of the Legal and Policy organization and execution of the responsibilities of the CLPO. Among other responsibilities, this role will perform assignments and tasks directly for the CLPO, with assistance as needed frhe others in the Legal and Policy organization. This role will also manage and oversee the legal billing and matter management systems Fox Legal, and working with members of the legal team, will develop and implement policies, procedures, and reporting practices to support desired outcomes for legal spend management.  Working closely with the Executive Assistant to the CLPO, the role will also oversee business travel arrangements and logistics for the CLPO. The successful candidate will also help plan and manage planning, coordination, and execution for Board meetings and corporate special events.

 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track legal department projects, ensuring priority for CLPO initiatives and meeting milestones and deadlines
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the CLPO
  • Prepare and manage budgets, billing, and related spend matters, and lead the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Establish and develop forecasting and reporting processes
  • Analyze key performance indicator trends and variances versus budget/forecast/prior year
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects as required
  • Arrange and coordinate CLPO business travel and logistics 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute offsite meetings and manage activities and resources at events or location as needed
  • Prepare budget and billing recaps for all events and special projects
  • Coordinate with the Executive Assistant to the CLPO as required 

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, other highly analytical/quantitative discipline
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organized and possess excellent project management skills
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on and complete multiple responsibilities at once
  • Experience in a fast-paced business environment
  • Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with corporate or law firm legal operations, matter management, and billing systems such as Legal Tracker
  • Experience and ability at working well under time constraints and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to think creatively, critically, and strategically, and to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Team player with a “no task is too small” attitude
  • Experience in arranging executive travel and event logistics
  • Ability to travel as needed

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $82,000.00-109,500.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
