Cooley Announces Reopening Plans - Cooley, ranked #19 on the top 20 BigLaw firms, has announced its reopening plans; offices will be fully open to vaccinated employees on June 1, but there is no in-office requirement for attorneys. More here

Elon Musk Buys Twitter - The tech mogul's $44B offer was accepted last week. Musk has maintained that 'free speech' is the key to Twitter's future and has other ideas for optimizing the social media platform. More here.

Tech Sector Experiences Major Decline in IPO Filings - the 'Tech IPO Winter' is showing around a 70% quarter-over-quarter decline in IPO deal activity globally in Q1 of 2022 after 7 quarters of generating the highest IPO proceeds. More here

EU Bodies Reach Agreement on Landmark Internet Law - The European Council (EC) and the European Union Parliament reached an agreement on the Digital Services Act, proposed by the EC in 2020. The law intends to prevent the circulation of illegal digital content, protect the fundamental rights of users, and requires certain compliance and due diligence from online intermediaries. More here.

Ukrainian American Lawyer Helps Deliver Supplies to Soldiers - Tetiana Poudel is a Ukrainian American citizen on leave from her job as an attorney at Spotify. At the start of the war, she moved to Poland and raised $13k for 100 pairs of boots for her dad (an active Ukrainian soldier) and his unit. More here
