Declining Big Law Demand: A Wells Fargo survey of 66 of the largest US law firms reveals that attorney billable hours have reached a 15-year low, leading to a squeeze on profits and potential layoffs. Despite a 1.5% drop in demand, the number of lawyers increased by nearly 5%.
