Infinite Reality Appoints Scott Waldbaum as First General Counsel Amid Plans to Go Public

In a significant move towards its impending public listing, leading immersive virtual reality (VR) provider Infinite Reality has announced the appointment of Scott Waldbaum as its Senior Vice President and General Counsel.

The appointment of a seasoned legal professional like Waldbaum as general counsel is a strategic move for the company. With an impressive 24-year legal career, Waldbaum brings a wealth of expertise to Infinite Reality. He has a track record of working with high-growth startups, privately held entities, public companies, and prestigious global law firms. His extensive experience spans areas such as commercial transactions, corporate governance, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, data privacy, and intellectual property.

Waldbaum's earlier association with David5, LLC as General Counsel, Secretary, & Partner is especially noteworthy. He played a significant role in overseeing the majority equity interest in Droga5, a global advertising agency recognized as Adweek’s and Ad Age’s Agency of the Decade for the 2010s. This agency was subsequently acquired by Accenture in 2019. Waldbaum was instrumental in advising David Droga, the founder of Droga5, on a range of legal matters, including the sale of Droga5.

During his tenure at Droga5, Waldbaum showcased his legal prowess by overseeing global legal matters, providing business-oriented legal advice, and building a best-in-class legal department that supported the company's exponential growth. His commitment to excellence in legal matters was evident when he led the company's legal department through its significant expansion from roughly thirty employees to over six hundred globally.

Before his tenure at Droga5, Waldbaum showcased his legal acumen as a corporate attorney at renowned global law firms, including White & Case LLP and Proskauer Rose LLP. He is a graduate of Tulane University Law School (Cum Laude, 1998).

Infinite Reality has rapidly made a name for itself in the VR industry by offering customers unparalleled immersive experiences using cutting-edge technology. As a "unicorn" company – a privately held start-up valued at over $1 billion – Infinite Reality's decision to go public signifies its anticipation of continued growth and expansion in the VR market.
