**Salary Range: $123,000- $175,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF DIRECTOR – TERMINALS:


PRIMARY PURPOSE OF DIRECTOR – TERMINALS:

Responsible for business and financial operation of Tallgrass Terminals, LLC. Expected to play a significant company-level Executive leadership role relative to developing the Company’s fundamental business strategy. Develops/maintains efficient and effective policies, procedures and workflows for compliance with OSHA, EPA, and PHMSA, as well as State and local HSE compliance related rules and regulations, and company policies pertinent to company facilities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategies and tactics to reach maximum utilization of the terminals.
  • Ensure all operations are operated safely and in compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
  • Interact regularly with Tallgrass Terminals stakeholders including regulatory agencies, owner representatives and public officials as a representative of the company.
  • Regularly manage internal/external stakeholder interactions.
  • Accomplish performance goals in line with the company’s long-term and short-term objectives
  • Ensure consistent and reliable service to our customers.
  • Tap into pipeline business knowledge to evaluate appropriate use of capital expenditures, budgeting and expense management, margin analysis and inventory management.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new business opportunities that meet the strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Lead improvement based on agency and industry evolution and emerging requirements and/or control technologies. Provide leadership in developing agency relationships and issue resolution.
  • Support due diligence and integration planning for acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures.
  • Provide direction to operations management to maintain regulatory compliance in operations and provides reporting and notifications to senior management in compliance related issues.
  • Oversee the achievement of financial plans for terminals.
  • Work with terminal managers to develop justifiable and necessary capital expenditures.
  • Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
  • Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
  • Will work non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
  • Other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined.
  • Other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS OF DIRECTOR – TERMINALS:


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or a related discipline.


EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

  • Seven (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience with a proven record of accomplishment in the oil & gas industry or pipelines operations.
  • Demonstrated superior leadership outcomes in the areas of leading self, leading others, and leading an organization.
  • Proven ability to drive positive change with continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of successful, innovative leadership and delivery of performance results in complex operations, maintenance, or engineering activities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large departmental budgets.
  • Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

  • Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
  • Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel as needed up to 25%.
  • Required to carry a cell phone, and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:

  • MBA.
  • Pipeline and terminals experience strongly preferred.
  • PHMSA experience; Gas and Liquid preferred.
